Grandpa, Roger with his mother, Great Grandma, Nyal
Grandpa was born on January 29th, 1946. He came home from the hospital on his mother's birthday. She thought he was such a wonderful gift.
Grandpa was named Roger Lee after his parents favorite Apostle; Elder Harold B. Lee.
The Name Roger means "Stong Councilor" and he is a stong and wise councilor. If you ever have a problem of any kind you can always talk with your Grandpa
Grandpa with his Sister Gloria
One time The Deseret News wanted to do a Thanksgiving full page spread in the paper with Children. Grandpa and his sister Gloria and Bruce went by Taxi into town for the picture. As Great Grandma Williams was getting them ready; she said he was very preoccupied and quiet and he seemed worried. He came over to her and said: "but mom, do you think we better go?" "They might be kid-snappers you know." It wasn't easy but I finally convinced him that the man was a good friend of his Daddy and could take good care of them .

When Grandpa's brother Michael was born. Grandpa didn't know what to think of him. When Mike began to cry Grandpa Roger would come in and tug at his mother sleeve and said: "Mom, take him back to the hospital."
Grandpa was a happy child and peace loving but always very serious. One friend made the following comment about Grandpa when he was small: "He is a noble little character it shows even in his handsomely shaped head." He was a beautiful child with a wealth of blonde curley hair.

Grandma, LeAnn with her mother, Grandma Great, Leone
Grandma, LeAnn was born on November 20th, 1945. Her favorite Uncle Kirtley came home that day after being in World War II. Every one was excited about her birth. She was the first and only girl in her family. She had two older brothers, Mac, age 9 and John, age 6.
They named her LeAnn; the Le was from her mother's name, Leone and the An was from her Dad's name, Millan.

Grandma learned to walk when she was 1 year old but she didn't talk until she was 2 1/2. The only word she said was "tish" and then she would point at what she wanted. I am sure she was saying this. Her brothers would always get whatever she wanted.
The story is told that whenever she didn't get what she wanted she would scream until she fainted. One day in a store, her mother got a cup of water and threw it in her face and she never screamed like that again.
She loved playing in the sand pile and with her dolls. She really loved to bath her dolls and had a toy bathtub to bath them in. Grandma can show you two of her dolls that she would bath.
Look forward to; "What Was It Like to Grown Up In The 1950's".

Thank you for sharing Grandma!!
