Welcome To The 1950's~

This was what the 1950's were like~
Here is Grandpa and Grandma in the 1950's

Home Style `
 
The TV's were only in Black and White ~
Grandpa and Grandma did not have a TV in their homes until we were around 10 years old.
 This was the size of Grandma's TV~
Grandpa's TV was like this one~

Movies cost $.25 cents per person -
Drive-in theaters were popular~
Babysitters charged $.25 cents per hour and $.10 cents to iron an article of clothing~
 
Here is a 1950 phone~
Our Telephones had party lines which meant that there were 2 or 3 families that were on your line. If they were talking on their telephone you could hear what they were saying and you couldn't call out until they were through with their conversation and hung up.
