Hope you are all having a wonderful Easter Celebration remembering that Easter is all about that "He Lives".
After much thought about all of you; we have decided to resurrect this blog just to communicate with you all. I wish it was possible to talk with each of you more frequently and or see you more often. We love each one of you with all our hearts and are so grateful for our large posterity. May you know that each day your names are mentioned individually in our prayers. I don't know how frequently you will receive a post from here; but it will be more often than it has been. These posts will be in response to perhaps a need that we feel might help one of you. We plan to share stories from our own lives and also those of your ancestors.
I hope you will look closely at this beautiful picture of the Savior and Mary. I myself wonder what Mary must have felt at the instant that she recognized the Savior, her Redeemer. I would say that she felt tremendous joy and even increased loved for her beloved Master. I think there was a special bond between Jesus and sweet sorrowful Mary. She listened at his knees, walked with Him and observed His trial, and His cruel crucifixion. Now she was the first to know that He had Risen. May you all know that Grandpa and I know that He Lives, He Loves Us All and He Knows Our Names.
We hope you are having the opportunity to listen and see the Prophet, Apostles and other leaders of the church speak this day in General Conference. The messages have been inspiring, uplifting, comforting and filled with the Spirit. Grandpa and I have needed Kleenex for our tears.
Grandpa and I have been through many life experiences. We have walked the path of adversity, doubt, health issues, children difficulties, financial concerns and many other struggles and trials. Through it all we have been faithful followers of Christ. His way is the way. We have felt the peace and comfort of the spirit when we have sought for it through prayers, scriptures and temple attendance. We know that prayers have been answered and peace has been given. Our greatest peace and revelation has come within the walls of the temple. Our weekly service there has brought us a great deal of joy. We pray that all of you will desire to have temple experiences.
The world you are in is difficult and at times confusing; this is part of the plan. Your own faith will be tested many times. Our greatest desire is that you will follow our Savior Jesus Christ and the Prophet and Apostles of today. If you do this you will never be led a stray.
Our testimonies are strong and true. My testimony began at an early age and although I had my own difficulties and a slight rebellious nature; I have always known that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true.
My parents were in active in our faith when I was young and our home was filled with contention. However, my parents came back into the gospel when I was 6 years old and the sweet spirit of love was felt in our home. May you all work hard to have peace and love in your home and especially in your hearts for one another.
Sending Happy Easter wishes and lots of love and hugs your way!
Grandpa and Grandma
PS. Remember that Grandpa and I are here for you and if you have questions call or send us a message and we will answer. Please show and read this to your younger siblings that are not on Facebook.
